Crowd at reading
Had a great two weeks of poetry. Sunday was the Poetry Festival: A Celebration of New Jersey’s Literary Journals. 13 journals – a great day of sharing and selling journals and books and meeting old and new friends. Much congratulations to Diane Lockward – the founder and still the heart and soul of the event. She did her usual great job. There was a large crowd. See the photos above and also check the web site (edisonliteraryreview.org) and click on “readings”.
Last Tuesday the winners of the Middle and High School Poetry Contest read at Barnes & Noble. There were 24 readers and it was standing room only. It was taped for Channel 15 and should be broadcast later this week.
Then on Thursday I was one of three featured readers at Last Thursday poetry reading at Middletown Library, hosted by Gloria Healy. We had a nice crowd – very receptive and appreciative. I read with Wes Czyzewski and J.C. Todd – we were three very different voices that meshed together quite well.
